Compute, storage, and networking under your control.
Cloud repatriation is the infrastructure story of 2026. Organizations that moved everything to AWS, Azure, and GCP are now bringing predictable workloads back to private infrastructure — 30–60% lower costs, full control, no egress surprises.
The case for private infrastructure
Public cloud is exceptional for elastic, unpredictable workloads. For everything else — stable applications, databases, mail servers, development environments, internal tools — private infrastructure delivers better economics and better control.
86% of CIOs plan to move some workloads from public cloud to private infrastructure. The question is not whether to do it, but how to do it without rebuilding your operations team.
PILOT handles the infrastructure. You handle your workloads.
What PILOT provides
Virtual Machines
Proxmox-based VMs on dedicated EU hardware. Isolated, reproducible, snapshotable. Deploy the OS you need, configure it as you need, scale resources as your requirements change.
Bare Metal
Dedicated physical servers in our Zagreb and Vienna datacenters. No virtualization overhead. Full hardware access. For workloads that need raw performance — high-throughput databases, rendering, compute-intensive processing.
Managed Virtualization
Proxmox cluster management — VM lifecycle, snapshots, live migration, HA configuration. We run the hypervisor layer; you run what's on it.
Networking
Private VLANs, firewalling, VPN endpoints, load balancing. Your infrastructure as an isolated private network, not a collection of public-facing servers.
Custom Solutions
Not every workload fits a standard configuration. We assess your requirements and build infrastructure matched to them — whether that's a specific hardware configuration, a custom network topology, or an integration with your existing on-premises systems.
Colocation
Have your own hardware? We rack it in our Zagreb or Vienna datacenters and manage the connectivity, power, and physical layer. You retain full ownership of the hardware — see hangar.pm for details.
Who this is for
→ Organizations repatriating from AWS or Azure with predictable workloads where cloud economics no longer make sense
→ Teams that need full root access and cannot work within managed PaaS constraints
→ Workloads with data residency requirements where EU jurisdiction must be contractually guaranteed
→ Any organization that wants infrastructure managed by people, not automated systems that create support tickets
Where your infrastructure runs
PILOT operates own racks in Zagreb (Croatia, EU) and Vienna (Austria, EU). Both locations are within EU jurisdiction, covered by GDPR, and not subject to the US CLOUD Act.
For specific workloads requiring additional scale or GPU compute, we extend to EU partner datacenters. We assess and recommend based on your requirements — you choose where your data lives.
